PACE
Description: PACE provides meaningful group-based educational and emotional support to new moms (first and second time moms) in the DC region, facilitated by trained mental health professionals. New groups form continuously, based on need and leader availability. You will be offered a spot in a group in the order in which your inquiry/information is received.
In their words: Our groups are open to all moms in the DC metro area, however, we don't have groups for specific demographics. We know that moms come to our groups from all different situations, and that's what makes PACE special. As such, groups are randomly assigned as PACE collects no identifying or demographic information during the registration process.
Cost: $300 per 6-week session

The Center for Family Well-Being: Growing Together
Description: Growing Together is a warm, developmentally supportive parent–baby group, offered after the “4th trimester”. In this group we’ll focus on the early foundations of movement, attachment, and unfolding of the parent/baby relationship in the first year of life. Rooted in the respectful, peaceful principles of the Pikler approach, this group invites parents to accompany their baby in her natural unfolding — in her striving, developing, and learning-to-learn — while cultivating deep attunement and trust.
Facilitated by: Liz Hagerman, LPC, BC-DMT, IMH-E®, Pikler® Pedagogue
Dates*: 7 Wednesdays, February 18 - April 1, 2026
Time: 11:30am to 12:45pm
Location: The Center for Family Well-Being, 5039 Connecticut Ave. NW #7 Washington DC 20008
Cost:
This is a 7-week clinical group. New participants are required to pay a deposit of two sessions ($180), while returning members pay a one-session deposit ($90) to hold their spot. After the group begins, sessions are billed weekly.
Participants can typically seek insurance reimbursement by completing one clinical intake session before the group begins, billed separately at our individual session rate. This intake is required for diagnostic coding and ensures the group is an appropriate fit. While the Center does not contract directly with insurance companies, we always provide the documentation needed for reimbursement through PPO plans, medical flexible spending, or health savings accounts.
Questions & Registration:
For questions about the group or payment, please email amy@centerforfamilywellbeing.com or simply fill out the registration form below and we’ll be in touch with next steps.
